Why do i read about "old" SDXF or SDXF v1.0?
SDXF v1.0 or "old SDXF" is how we refer to the comic Jops made in 2002, in order to distinguish it from the current one, which, even if based on the same concept and keeping a few characters of the old cast, is a very different comic.
Isn't this the old SDXF story revised and drawn better?
No. The new SDXF comic is actually a collection of short stories and gags.
What happened to SDXF v1.0?
It was just aborted. The old comic had too many sidestories and too many characters, so the plot turned out very confusing. Also, after some pratice (and thanks to Ping Teo's tutorials on Webcomic Finds), Jops learned a new style that was far more pleasing to the eyes. Making an abrupt change of style in the middle of the comic was considered a no-no, and the only thought of restating it all over was too depressing. Attemps to keep SDXF v1.0 up were made, but drawing in the old ugly style when he could do better was, at the very least, annoying.
Why aren't you making fixed-up version of the old comic?
SDXF v1.0 was Jops first attempt at comicking and he made the big mistake of putting himself and his friends as main characters: the result was a poorly written comic with too many inside jokes. Now we're interested in making a comic that anyone can enjoy, not just a bunch of close friends, so the old story doesn't work.
Are you interested in a link-exchange?
Not really. We normally don't "exchange" links: we simply link to webcomics and sites we like (when it's allowed, of course), regardless of the fact that we get a link back to us or not.
